Why AI vocals sound metallic

Generated vocals carry narrow resonances in the upper mids (about 2–7 kHz) that ring out for a moment at a time. The usual fixes make it worse.

Only the peaks move

Most of the vocal is untouched. The cleaner only pulls down the narrow peaks that make it ring, and only for the moment they ring.

  • Nothing below 2 kHz or above 7 kHz is touched
  • The same smoothing on both channels: your stereo image stays put
  • A five-minute song is done in about 10 seconds

Which AI music works?

It's tuned on songs from Suno, and works on any song with a metallic, ringing vocal, from Udio and other generators too.

Will it change my mix?

Only narrow resonances between 2 and 7 kHz, by how much you choose. On average less than 1 dB in that band; no EQ, compression or loudness changes.

Is this the same as mastering?

No. Clean first, then master: one click sends the cleaned song to hyp.fm mastering.

What do I get?

A 24-bit WAV at your song's own sample rate, plus an MP3 to listen to.

How many songs can I clean?

5 a month on the free plan during the beta, 50 on Premium. Previews don't count.
