Terms of service
Last updated 2026-11-02.
These terms apply between you and Hackyard People AB (org. no. 559061-2866, Kungsgatan 64, 111 22 Stockholm, Sweden), which runs hyp.fm, when you use it to create and run an artist page. By creating an account you accept them. Questions: privacy@hyp.fm.
The service
- hyp.fm is free. We may add paid extras later; they will always be optional and you’ll be asked before anything costs money.
- We work to keep the service fast and available, but provide it “as is”, without guarantees of availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- We may change the service or these terms. We’ll tell you by email about important changes.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Your page address must not mislead people about who you are. We may reclaim an address that impersonates another artist or brand.
Your content
- You keep all rights to your content. You allow us to store, adapt (for example resize images) and show it on your pages, for as long as it is on the service.
- You must have the rights to everything you publish, including artwork, photos, names and logos.
- Not allowed: phishing, scams, malware or links to them; impersonation; content that infringes others’ rights; hate speech, harassment or threats; sexual content involving minors; content that promotes violence or is otherwise illegal; spam and links that hide their destination.
- We may remove content, unpublish pages or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we act on reports from visitors and on automatic link checks. If we act on your page, you can contact us at privacy@hyp.fm to ask why or to appeal.
Tracking you turn on
- Advertising and tracking tools (Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, Google Ads) are off by default. Turning them on is your choice, and you are responsible for your tracking configuration: that you have a legal basis for it, that it matches your own privacy commitments, and that you have an agreement with the provider (Meta or Google) where one is required.
- hyp.fm only loads these tools after a visitor has agreed in the consent banner, and always shows the banner where the law requires it. You can’t turn that off.
- For data that these tools collect, you and the provider decide how it is used. hyp.fm only passes it on, at your instruction.
Promote (Ultra plan)
- With Promote, hyp.fm makes ads for your releases and runs them on Facebook and Instagram from its own Meta account. You choose where and for whom they run; we make the videos from your song, lyrics and cover.
- You must have the rights to the recording, the song and its lyrics, the cover and the names you use. You allow hyp.fm to edit them for ads (for example cut the song, add text and crop the cover), to send them to Meta and to show them as ads, for as long as the campaign runs. You keep all rights.
- Ads must follow Meta’s Advertising Standards. Meta or we may reject or stop ads, and we may pause a campaign that breaks these terms.
- Promote buys ad delivery, not streams, followers or chart positions. Results vary and are not guaranteed. We never use bots or fake streams.
- Promote isn’t sold yet. Before you pay for anything, you’ll see the price and the terms for payment and refunds.
Ending
- You can delete your account at any time under Account in the dashboard. Your page goes offline and your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
- We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we shut down the service, in which case we’ll give you notice so you can download your data.
Liability
As the service is free, we are not liable for indirect losses or loss of income, data or followers, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes are settled by Swedish courts. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a dispute before the courts there.
